CUE is a North Sea Business Unit with all of oil/gas production going through one or more subsea type of facility (subsea equipment, pipeline, control systems, etc) before reaching sales. The reliability and operability of CUE’s subsea systems is critical to meeting CUE’s business plan. In-house expertise in subsea drilling equipment (BOPs, etc) is all the more essential given CUE’s plans to drill and develop fields in deeper water, and in light of recent industry deepwater incidents.
